Education Data Analyst

GL Assessment is looking for an Education Data Analyst to join their research and analytics team. You will be involved with the maintenance, cleansing and analysis of data across a range of assessment and research projects; liaising with schools and recruiting them for research and data collection.

Schools want to do the best for every pupil. The more they know about a pupil, the more they can find the best way to teach them.

The role:

  • Cleaning and matching data, including writing code to clean data where needed – working with the Research Manager, Statistical Services Manager and Product Development team
  • Producing bespoke reports based on current assessment data in our assessment systems, including aggregating and analysing data for Multi-Academy Trusts and international school groups
  • Carrying out data collection and internal research projects where necessary
  • Supporting with survey analysis in ad-hoc research projects
  • Working to improve data management processes and tools
  • Quality Assurance of data and bespoke reports


What are we looking for?

  • A degree in a numerate and/or research-based subject
  • An understanding of educational data and schools
  • Excellent Excel skills 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of working with large datasets to include interpretation and analysis
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
