GL Assessment is a leading provider of 11+ tests for admissions and fair banding.
We recommend children familiarise themselves with the multiple-choice layout of the test, content and examples of some types of questions they will face. We want to give all children the opportunity to experience sample questions across a range of question types in advance of the test. This is particularly true with the verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning tests as they may not have encountered these types of questions before.
To help with this familiarisation process we have produced some free sample materials which you can download here. Please note, however, 11+ tests vary from area to area. If you don’t know what type of tests your admissions authority uses, you may find it helpful to check their website or contact them direct.
Schools are welcome to feature this page on their website and to share it with parents, carers and pupils to help familiarise themselves with the style and format of GL Assessment’s 11+ tests.
We do not, however, give permission for tutors or other organisations to feature this page and/or these materials (or any part of them) on their website, or to copy, reproduce, distribute or otherwise use or exploit these materials or any part of their content without the prior consent of GL Assessment.
In addition to the free familiarisation materials above, GL Assessment has developed a comprehensive range of further practice papers, in case you would like to do more.
As an 11+ test provider, GL Assessment’s 11+ Practice Papers are informed by long-standing specialist expertise in the 11+ and in wider educational assessment. Our range covers subjects including English, Maths, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning.
Two packs per subject, comprising four tests each.
The same tests are also available in Variety Packs, containing one test per subject for maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.

Subject packs 1 and 2 are multiple-choice, as most 11 Plus tests now use this format. In addition Subject Packs 1 for Maths, Non-Verbal and Verbal Reasoning are available in Standard format.
