Phillip has worked in education for over 35 years. He qualified as a teacher in 1983 after gaining a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from Liverpool University. Prior to that, he graduated with honours in Chemistry from Leeds University. He started his career in secondary schools, including working as a Deputy Headteacher with specific responsibility for the analysis and use of internally and externally generated pupil performance data.
However, for the last 15 years Phillip has been our Field Training Manager at GL Assessment and he is responsible for developing training modules to support pre- and post-testing to ensure best use of the assessments and data interpretation. He works across the full range of GL Assessment’s Education and Health & Psychology assessments in the UK, ROI and internationally.
Phillip trains people on new products internally and externally, he is a keynote at many conferences and over the last few years he has led a series of nationwide ‘life after levels’ seminars, focusing on the use of standardised assessments in the new national curriculum.
