Professional Development Online Workshop: Working with the Progress Test Series, Level 1 (Beginner)

Sunday 15 April, 00:00 - Saturday 05 May, 00:00

This workshop on the Progress Test Series will be facilitated by Matthew Savage, Principal, The International Community School, Amman. Matthew has shared his experience of introducing assessments at his previous schools at conferences around the world and has delivered training workshops on the use of assessments in Asia, Europe and Africa.
The workshop will run from 15th April until 5th May.

Outcomes and benefits to the individual and the school:

  • Outstanding international schools now know that quality use of quality data is essential, but it can be difficult to take the plunge and dive into the data for the first time
  • The course will demystify this essential tool, and begin to enable colleagues to work autonomously and independently with their Progress Tests data in the interests of each individual student in their school
  • It will also enable participants to explain the key features of Progress Tests to different stakeholder groups in their school

The Programme:

Week 1:

  • What is the Progress Test Series? An introduction.
  • Sitting the Progress Tests
  • Reflection tasks
  • Forum discussion

Week 2:

  • Understanding your own PT Series data
  • Key messages from the GL reports
  • Forum discussion

Week 3:

  • Progress from and progress towards
  • Identifying interventions
  • Next steps – triangulation
  • Forum discussion

How does it work?
